
South Africa cricket board working hard on establishing their cricket league. Previously the board try their luck with Mzansi Super League, with just two edition in 2018 and 2019, the league looks like ended. However the SA board will now introduce (SA 20) a new T20 cricket league all teams were owned by the Indian premier league owners. The very first edition of the league take place in January 2023. SA20 prize money announced which is 15% more compare to Pakistan Super League and Big Bash League.

How Much Winner of SA20 Will make from Prize Money?
Currently the officials of South Africa cricket board only announced the total prize money they did not revealed how much each team and winners earn. But based on reported prize money, The champions will earn estimated $2m share, runner-ups in the season earn $1m.
- Since the teams qualified on the points to the playoff’s and finals there will be 3rd place team and 4th place team.
- If the board have suggest prize money for 3rd place team it wont be less than $500k and 4th place team wont earn less than $400k.
- The player of the tournament awarded with purse share $100k.
The figures are estimated not official announced by the cricket board of South Africa. However, SA20 prize money made it one of the top paying platform and highest purse cricket tournament in the country. Another name given to SA20 is the mini IPL.
